“DEPART FROM ME”

Often referred to as the scariest words out of Messiah’s mouth, and yet, largely ignored! Seems like everyone would want to get to the bottom of this and make sure they will not be a victim of these words: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Master, Master,’ shall enter into the reign of the heavens, but he who is doing the WILL of My Father in the heavens. “Many shall say to Me in that day, ‘Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and done many mighty works in Your Name?’ “And then I shall declare to them, ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work Torahlessness!’ Mat 7:21-23. This describes a people devoid of YaHuWaH’s definition of sin and their outcome.

It’s time to get serious. HOW could it have come to this? These were “believers”
MANY dumbfounded believers on that day it says
they tried to make their case, but it sorely failed
they had ignored His WILL and rejected His instructions. Were they self-deluded? Had they been victims of the wolves/ear ticklers? It doesn’t say. His focus was on YaHuWaH’s WILL and Torahlessness. Did they misread Paul? Perhaps they missed the dire warning about Paul and his writings?

2 Pe 3:16-17 as also IN ALL his letters, speaking in them concerning these matters, in which some are hard to understand, which those who are untaught and unstable twist to their own destruction, AS THEY DO ALSO the other Scriptures. For You, then, beloved ones, being FOREWARNED, watch, lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the DELUSION OF THE LAWLESS
”

The sad thing about a deluded person is that they are unaware of their situation
just like the MANY told to depart. Seems that one thing is for certain; they had never truly studied the first Ÿ of His book and have been deluded about how strongly YaHuWaH feels about His instructions. YaHuWaH Himself calls His Torah PERFECT (Ps. 19:7)
can perfect be improved upon? David desired to do His WILL and likened His will to Torah observance (which Messiah mentioned against them) Ps 40:8 I have delighted to do Your WILL, O my Elohim, Your TORAH is within my heart. Begs the question also if those told to depart had claimed the “New Covenant” (Jer. 31:33) but also rejected the very same terms (Torah) David had proclaimed as YaHuWaH’s WILL? YaHuWaH also equates Torah written upon the heart as KNOWING RIGHTEOUSNESS and warns of those who get EATEN for opposing it

Isa 51:7-8 “Listen to Me, you WHO KNOW righteousness, a people in whose heart is My TORAH: do not fear the reproach of men, nor be afraid of their revilings. “For a moth EATS THEM like a garment, and a worm EATS THEM like wool; but My righteousness is forever, and My deliverance to all generations.”

The so-called “old testament” (a ridiculous name full of deceptional intent) is replete with warnings such as the above. Not only do they attest to Torah being forever (Ps. 119:44, 111:8, etc.), but show those who reject it have no prayers heard (Pr. 28:9), no vision (29:18), no light (Is. 8:20), no rescue (Ps. 50:16), and directly responsible for the defilement of the earth (Is.24:5)
These types of examples could go on and on. Maybe the “departed” were taught to ignore the first Ÿ of the book? Even if that were the case, they would have to DENY the very words of Messiah as well! Messiah Himself – Who kept Torah perfectly as our example – called heaven and earth to testify daily (Matt 5:18). I doubt Messiah will enjoy the company of those who call Him a liar (1 Jn. 2:4). Not one bit!

Even with the stern caution about Paul’s words being hard to understand, how would one choose to ignore his plain words? Far from being ‘done away’ by belief, Torah is to be firmly established (Rom. 3:31) Apart from Torah, one cannot even know what sin is (Rom 7:7), nor how to discontinue to live in sin (Rom. 6:1-2). People who reject Torah are at enmity with YaHuWaH and are carnal-minded (Rom. 8:7), are apostate (Acts 21:21), and miss out on justification (Rom. 2:13). Again, just a sampling of direct, plain words. Sin will always be transgression of His Torah (1 Jn. 3:4).

The True Ruach (Spirit) is only given to those who obey (Acts 5:32) and WILL CAUSE obedience to Torah (Ez. 36:27). That said, we are told YaHuWaH does not hear sinners, but only those who do His will (Jn. 9:31). Is it any wonder why the ‘law nailed to the cross’ crowd would be victims told to depart? Psa 119:11 I have treasured up YOUR WORD in my heart, That I might not sin against You. Luk 4:4 But Yahusha answered him, saying, “It has been written, ‘Man shall not LIVE BY bread alone, but by EVERY WORD of Elohim.’

So what now? Heb 5:12 For indeed, although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to TEACH YOU AGAIN the FIRST ELEMENTS of the Words (oracles-words spoken from Sinai) of Elohim. The narrow path awaits; the old house built on shifting sand needs to be abandoned. Back to the basics
time to rebuild

>>Act 2:38 And Kěpha said to them, “REPENT and let each one of you BE IMMERSED in THE NAME of Yahusha Messiah for the forgiveness of sins. True repentance. Not the sun-day alter call. Forgiveness of sin has to be with the actual knowledge of how YaHuWaH defines sin (1 Jn. 3:4). Discontinue living in sin (Rom 6:2), for those TURNING to YaHuWaH, four immediate Torah restrictions were given; then: Act 15:21 “For from ancient generations Mosheh (Torah) has, in every city, those proclaiming him – being read in the congregations EVERY SABBATH.” Learn and apply His Words. Keeping Sabbath will unlock a door you never even knew existed.

>>Jer 31:33 “For THIS IS the covenant I shall make with the house of Yisra’ěl after those days, declares YaHuWaH: I shall put MY TORAH in their inward parts, and write it on their hearts..” Realize YaHuWaH sets the terms for His covenant people – you don’t. He knows what is needed: Psa 19:7-8 The Torah of YaHuWaH is PERFECT, RESTORING the being; The witness of YaHuWaH is TRUSTWORTHY, MAKING WISE the simple; The orders of YaHuWaH are STRAIGHT, REJOICING the heart; The command of YaHuWaH is CLEAR, ENLIGHTENING the eyes. Is it any wonder He says it’s PERFECT?

>>1Jn 2:5-6 But whoever GUARDS HIS WORD (Word from the BEGINNING 1 Jn. 2:7), truly the love of Elohim has been perfected in him. BY THIS we know that WE ARE in Him. The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to WALK, even AS HE WALKED. Walking as Messiah set the example for us means doing what He did
and taking note of what He didn’t do
He kept the Scriptural feasts (Lev. 23), kept the 7th day Sabbath (Lk 4:16, etc), never ate rats or swine (Lev. 11), wore tzitziot (Matt 9:20, Num 15:38), and kept our Father’s doctrine entirely (Pro 4:2 For I gave you good doctrine: Do not forsake my Torah – Jn 7:16). What He would never do is offer a false Sabbath day, pagan festivals, nor add/take away anything from the Word (Dt. 4:2).

In keeping this relatively short, these are basics, but fundamental. If this won’t work for you, legalism, bondage, etc. then the Millennial Reign of Messiah (the NEXT event on His feast calendar) will be a big letdown as well

Isa 2:3 And many peoples shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of YaHuWaH, to the House of the Elohim of Ya‛aqoᾇ, and let Him teach us HIS WAYS, and let us walk in HIS PATHS, for out of Tsiyon comes forth THE TORAH, and THE WORD of YaHuWaH from Yerushalayim.”

Isa 42:4 “He does not become weak or crushed until He has established right-ruling in the earth. And the coastlands wait for HIS TORAH.”

Isa 42:21-23 It has delighted YaHuWaH, for the sake of His righteousness, to make THE TORAH great and esteemed. But this is a people robbed and plundered, all of them are snared in holes, and they are hidden in prison houses. They have become a prey, with no one to deliver – for plunder, and no one to say, “Restore!” WHO AMONG YOU gives ear to this, pays attention and hears FOR THE TIME TO COME?

Act 3:20-21 and that He sends Yahusha Messiah, pre-appointed for you, whom heaven needs to receive UNTIL the times of RESTORATION of all matters, of which Elohim SPOKE THROUGH the mouth of all His set-apart prophets since of old.

We are all called to be a part of the restoration. The only other option is rebellion
as we have seen, the latter option has severe consequences. Warn others! Be bold, be brave.

To the Torah and to the witness! If they do not speak according to this Word, it is because they have no daybreak [light]. Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 8:20
